Mission Statement

"We at Providence Elementary will reach for success and value the potential of all" is a direct result of the staff's belief that race, gender, or family background is not an indicator of individual student achievement. The goal of our staff is to educate every child, accept no excuses, and provide the foundation for all students to become successful adults in the 21st century."

Virtual/Remote Instruction to Continue Until January 4th

Governor Beshear signed an executive order on November 18th stating that all K-12 public and private elementary, middle and high schools shall cease in person instruction and transition to remote or virtual instruction. Although the order allows elementary students to return to in person learning earlier than Middle and High students, Webster County Schools will remain on remote/virtual instruction through January 4, 2021 to support the health and safety of all of our students and staff.

Our pre-schools will follow the same schedule. We will reopen our Alpha Academies on November 30th.

We can bring in small groups for targeted instruction and you will receive more information from the school your child attends.

We will continue to feed our kids by providing seven days’ worth of meals to each student in the home. With Thanksgiving Break coming up this week, meal pickup will be on Tuesday, November 24th from 11:00 to 1:00 at the normal locations. Friday pickups will resume to every Friday during the extended school closure except for December 25th and January 1st as those dates are designated holidays.

Thank you for your continued support during this unique time in education.

Meal Distribution During Remote Learning

WC originally planned to do meal delivery like we did in the summer by bus; however, due to the shortage of staff, we will not be able to do that during this time of remote learning.Meal pickup will be available from 11:00-1:00 tomorrow, Friday, November 13and next Friday, November 20, at the following locations:

Clay Elementary

Providence Elementary

Dixon Annex

Each student will receive seven breakfasts and seven lunches.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unique time in education.
